The mission of Restoring Wholeness Ministries is simple - to bring physical, emotional and spiritual freedom through Christian healing prayer. It's simple because we represent Jesus Christ, Who is our Healer. Ministering in His Name, we pray in the authority that He has given us to "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, and drive out demons" (Matthew 10: 8).
Of equal importance is discipleship whereby people can continue to walk in their new-found freedom in a more complete awareness of their identity in Christ.
Supporting the prayer ministry is the teaching ministry through which people are trained and equipped to minister physical, emotional and spiritual healing through prayer.
VISION
Our vision is to be a Christ-centered resource for healing of the whole person – body, soul and spirit. Having originally been based in York County, PA, we are in the process of transitioning to the Baltimore metro area. The ministry will offer prayer for physical healing, emotional healing and deliverance. Prayer for emotional healing and deliverance will be offered as stand-alone ministry as well as to resolve hindrances to physical healing. The goal of all emotional healing and deliverance ministry is not to simply modify behavior, but to facilitate encounters with Jesus that leads to inner transformation, out of which behavior changes.
We have various ministry tools available to us and have ben trained in their use. These tools can be applied to address a wider range of personal issues, addictions, emotional brokenness, identity, generational issues and the influence of evil spirits. Our approach is to help the person requesting ministry recognize their brokenness, identify the roots, connect with Jesus to exchange wounds and lies for healing and truth, renounce and be set free from the influence of evil, and allow God to reveal and rebuild their true identity in Christ as they grow in intimacy with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
Training is provided for all ministry team members, drawing primarily from Global Awakening’s Christian Healing Certification Program as well as other resources. The basics of prayer for physical healing, emotional healing and deliverance are initially presented, with advanced topics being discussed as a part of on-going training and equipping.
Our heart is to build relationships with local churches and ministries to be a resource and work collaboratively with them. As the ministry is also a ministry whose mission includes teaching and equipping, the ministry is available in these collaborative relationships to teach in churches and ministries to equip others in healing prayer ministry. We also serve as a referral source to churches, other ministries and professional services which provide what the ministry does not, such as a home church, mental health counselor, and medical services, or for which the other ministry possesses greater experience or more in-depth ministry.
CORE VALUES
The most important part of our "About us" is our Core Values. These are non-negotiable and must be reflected by all of our team members. Our Core Values are below:
- Humility – we find humility in Jesus and in His ministry on earth (Philippians 4:6-8, Zechariah 9:9). As ministers who represent Jesus to others, we adopt humility as a lifestyle while pursuing and growing in humility. We reflect Jesus, not ourselves.
- Compassion – Jesus felt compassion toward those who were hurting, afflicted and oppressed (Matthew 9:36, 14:14, 20:34, Luke 7:13). We are moved by the compassion of God to restore wholeness to others through prayer.
- Honor – as we honor those who seek wholeness by receiving them for who they are, we establish the atmosphere that allows the life of God to bring restoration to the broken places in their lives (1 Peter 2:17). As we honor and receive each other for who we are as fellow ministers, we establish the atmosphere whereby each operates in their God-given gifts and anointing for ministry (Romans 12:10). As we honor God for Who He is, we give Him the glory that is reserved for Him alone (1 Timothy 1:17).
